Bulow Creek State Park | Taylor and Nick

August 19, 2023

On a hot and sunny day in Ormond Beach, a small wedding took place at Bulow Creek State Park. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Taylor and Nick’s ceremony was held under the Fairchild Oak, a beautiful tree that has been standing for over 400 years. What better location to tie the knot than under a tree that has withstood the test of time?

Taylor and Nick are a simple, sweet, outdoorsy couple with a love for all things classic. They arrived to their wedding ceremony in a Ford Model-T and Monte Carlo!

The ceremony was officiated by Locke & Key. Their vows were traditional, short, and sweet, and the couple lit a unity candle to bond their marriage. With the exchanging of rings and “I do’s”, they are now Mr. and Mrs. Bolton.

Their outdoorsy, Ormond Beach wedding then continued with reception at the Tomoka State Park reception hall. The venue had dark ceilings, with very little natural light so I used forward flash to create vintage, film-like images which I knew Taylor and Nick would love.

Reception

After their ceremony, reception followed at the Tomoka State Park Reception Hall. The venue had dark ceilings and very little natural light. Knowing that Taylor and Nick love classic vibes, I decided to take advantage of the lighting to create a vintage, film-like feeling in their images using direct flash. The images turned out exactly how I had envisioned and Taylor & Nick love them too!
