My story
why wedding photography is important
As many photographers, my journey started early on in high school. What was once a hobby, was turned into a career! While the journey to this point has been a long one, the biggest takeaways would be that my Father inspired me to pick up a camera and my husband pushed me to turn it into a career. The two most important men in my life, I have to thank.
But I didn’t gain my full passion for photography until 2017, when I took the leap into the wedding industry. And it wasn’t until 2018, at my own wedding, that I found my purpose.
I knew my dad was sick. On April 15th, 2018, as we danced to our father-daughter dance, I didn’t realize that my wedding photographer was capturing some of the last memories of me with my father before his health drastically declined. My wedding was one of the last times that he was able to walk and he unfortunately passed away from ALS in February 2019.
My photographer delivered over one thousand images from my wedding, and today, the photos of my father are still my most favorite and cherished.
I tell you this because this was when I discovered my purpose and why wedding photography is important… To capture the health and happiness of your wedding day while you experience it fully to create everlasting memories and heirlooms for years to come.
Time is precious and fleeting. Enjoy it.
I am spontaneous, adventurous, and fun. When I am not photographing wholesome couples like you, I can be found at the dog park, reading a good book, or giving my undivided attention, time, and love to my family.
Besides my family being #1, some of my other LOVES include warm coffee in the mornings, eating delicious food, baking all things sweet, drinking a slightly overpoured glass of wine, summer time, beach days, oh and animals. I love animals of all kinds :)
I like to think that I am a "millennial mom." The kind of women who frequently wear sweatpants with messy buns and runs on coffee because sleep doesn't exist. Yep. That's me. But I wear that hat proudly! I am a loving mother, a wife, and a hardworking entrepreneur.
My personality is often described as outgoing and bubbly... and that term is pretty accurate because I can be airheaded sometimes too. I am spontaneous, adventurous, and I love a good thrill. It's safe to say that spending any amount of time with me is sure to be a fun time!
