Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Spencer! Darrell and Amanda held an intimate Sanford Wedding right at the water’s front of Veteran’s Memorial Park on the lake. It was a beautifully warm, partly cloudy spring day with plenty of wind coming off the lake.

Amanda and Darrell share the same interests and met through the same Facebook groups in 2017 where they became friends. Amanda lived in Texas at the time and Darrell lived in Florida, but that didn’t stop them from pursuing their love for one another. They began their long distance relationship in March of 2020.
Darrell became very sick with COVID in December of 2020. After Amanda drove 10 hours to be by his side and to take care of him, Darrell knew that she was the one he wanted to marry. Then, in June of 2021, Amanda packed her car with everything she could fit and made the drive to Florida to finally move in with him.
A special moment that Amanda wanted me to capture was the moment she placed the picture of her brother into her bouquet. Unfortunately, he suddenly passed in September 2022 but he was still able to walk her down the aisle in spirit.

Cake Cutting
Even non-traditional weddings deserve to have traditional moments. Amanda decided to have the traditional cutting of the cake after their ceremony which represents the first activity done as a couple once married.
Couple’s Portraits | Sanford Wedding
While the guests ate their cake, I stole Amanda and Darrell to capture their couple’s portraits along Veteran’s Memorial Park and the lakefront.
Attending Guests
Amanda is from Texas and Darrell is from North Carolina. Their families watched from afar over Facebook Live while all attending guests were friends that hold a special place in their hearts.
